IRISH IMMIGRATION CRITERIA
There are conditions set down by the Irish Immigration auhtorities that all students (both visa required and non visa required) must satisfy before they will be granted permission to remain in Ireland as a student. With regard to Language Courses students must be able to show that;

- They are enrolled on a privately funded course;
- They have a Letter of Acceptance from the college, confirming they have been accepted and enrolled on a course of full-time education, involving a minimum of 15 hours organised daytime tuition between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00 each week;
- They must have paid the fees to the college. Where the fees are below €6,000, the full amount of the fees must be paid in advance. Where the fees exceed €6,000 then at least this amount must be paid in advance;
- They should be able to pay for their course and support themselves in Ireland without requiring a job or availing of any State Benefits;
- They must have access to €3,000 at first registration with the immigration authorities. This is in addition to the course fees;

Thereafter at every subsequent registration students are required to have proof that they were in possession of private medical insurance for all of the previous registration period by way of a letter of renewal. Travel insurance will not be accepted.
ULEARN CRITERIA
ULearn's admissions procedures require;
- Students be a minimum of 16 years of age when applying for the course
- Students pay their course fees in advance
- Students demonstrate a real need to undertake the course
- Students intend to adhere to the rules and regulations set down by immigration as part of the conditions of their visa
- Students do not intend to break the conditions of their visa and remain in Ireland without permission or cary out any activities which would cause them to be in breach of their visa.
- Students who have had a visa application for Ireland refused may not apply for 6 months following the refusal date
